From our sleeping rooms we had to go down 7 stairs to go to the toilet, and there was only one blanket per bed, just to mention some troubles. If possible, try to avoid it, do not want to hike in a busy ski resort if you do not have to. But if you need to spend a night here, prepare for a meal under standard and a disappointing breakfast. The service and even the self service are unpleasant. The five of us agreed that the quality of the food we used pasta, Kaiserschmarren, and a potato bowl was really under what we were using on our tour. Compared to restaurants in the civilized world, this place looks even worse.
Beautiful cottage on the Munich Venice Circle. We sniffed room 2 absolutely beautiful with 2 beds and a feather bed bed duvet to almost sniff you as you sail in happy dreams. The cottage is a licensed guide and a treasure trove of information rent it for a day to scale a high summit and get an adrenaline rush.
This is probably one of the best mountain restaurants I was in. Not traditional Austrian decor, but very large, comfortable, huge outdoor seating area, separate dining areas self- or table service, sofa seat in front of a fire, bar area. The works! And the food is great. We didn't do a self-service when we went, as it looked very busy despite its size. Needless to say, Bergblick auf Hahn!
A great place to take your lunch. Fast and friendly service, many choices on the menu and good quality. Try the Chardonnay, mmm.
Been in the Zillertal valley skiing with my family for almost a week now have explored Penken Mayrhofen and Hinterux ski area extensively. We have eaten lunch on the mountain everyday and generally had a good experience the Tuxer Joch Haus was no exception. Perched up on the shoulder of the number 17 run overlooking the bottom end of the glacier, we found the service to be friendly and the food good We ate Schnizel burgers (which were fab) with fries and I had a Pork Gulash with pasta which wasnt too bad either. With drinks, the meal came to 48 euros for 4. We ate outside in the covered glazed dining area which gets hot and busy The restaurant (like many on the mountain) is self service so get there either first thing or later in the afternoon as it got jammed whilst we were there
