The Spotty Dog - Scottish Borders

Great place; beautiful people; like a dog owner totally understand their dog policy and we are happy to sit outside (all day and weather)

Whenever I'm driving north, I make sure to stop at this lovely small deli and coffee shop. The Scotch eggs and salad are delicious, especially when paired with a selection of olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and cream cheese-filled paprika. The staff is always very friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience whether you choose to sit outside on a quiet day or indoors.

This restaurant has the best atmosphere and is our favorite place to bring our dog. They serve delicious speck rolls and homemade sponge cake. The cheese selection is excellent and they also offer a variety of less common delicacies.

Most mornings I stop for a coffee after walking the dog, and as I can't take her inside, the lovely people at the Spotty Dog always make and bring my coffee to the door! How's that for service? It's not convenient but they do it anyway and as a first time mum to a 5 month old baby, solo parenting the majority of the month, I couldn't appreciate it more. Thank you x
