Tony's Tower - Scottish Borders

Would like to know what type of potatoes they use for chips because I'd wager they the cheapest of the cheap ! Chips greasy horrible , no crisp whatsoever, they charge top dollar so about time they started serving top dollar food

Given that delivery time was one hour. I see no reason at all why the chips and smoked sausage was very under cooked.

Daughter and I stayed in Selkirk for two nights and wanted a chippy supper. I could t believe there’s only one chip shop there. Ordered online for collection and that was all good. Got back to our hotel and fish was lovely and the batter was amazing! Chips on the other hand were aneamic and pale and undercooked. Hey

First visit here and the shop is clean and well presented however the food was disappointing. The fish was overcooked and dry and whilst some of the chips were fresh others weren’t. It was a large order and on return we found items we had paid for weren’t there. I probably wouldn’t return based on this experience which is a shame. Staff were pleasant and mannerly.

I paid £4 for a small, greasy portion of chips. It was a complete rip-off. This will be my last time visiting that restaurant.
