Erik's Delicafé - Scotts Valley

1 of the places I have to eat at when I?m back home. This really goes for any of the Erik?s deli?s. I pretty much get the same thing every time chicken pesto sandwich and a the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Always wonderful and in all of my travels it?s something I have never had anywhere else.

Too hot to cook. Quick trip to our standby Erik's for dinner. I asked if they would split my salad in 1/2 for Dinner and Lunch tomorrow. I received 2 beautiful chicken gorgonzola salads. Excellent, speedy service. Quality foods, great prices!! Kudos to the evening staff.

About two years ago, my wife went here and had a soup that was rancid. When she asked for new soup or a refund the employee was rude and dismissed her. I use to live by a different Erik's that I loved, so occasionally when I'm with my wife and we want to go out I offer Erik's, she always brings that terrible experience up. Today I said that was a while ago maybe they are better now, I convince her to give it a shot. We ordered, her sandwiched tasted off, I tasted it and it was real bad. After my sandwich I spread my dressing on my salad the dressing was old and smelled and tasted off. We were done and bussed our table and left. They serve spoiled food, we are never eating here again.

The tuna sandwich was pretty good, but the pot bell sandwich was kind of dirty.

The restrooms are spotless, the staff is welcoming, and the food is beautifully presented.
