Afternoon Tea – The Phoenician

Food was mediocre, but service and ambience was great! Expensive but a great experience for a once in awhile treat.

The price has increased which I no longer think is worth it. As well as they got rid of a lot of teas that they have had for years. That was disappointing. Used to love coming but unfortunately think that has come to an end.

Tea is a family tradition at the Phoenician! This year I was quite disappointed as not only the price was raised but the food quality was not nearly as good as years passed. The sandwiches had little to no filling so it was mostly bread, biscuits were the same (always great) and new desserts were also a delight but they did not offer a second serving like years passed. Unfortunately my entire group left a little disappointed and will most likely skip or recreate our own tea after this disappointing day.

We absolutely love coming to afternoon tea at the Phoenician to kick off the holiday season! Everything is over the top lovely. We also appreciate the little touches like the printed photographs to take home and the wonderful food. The only thing we would change is the comfort level of sitting at the low tables. It’s not ideal to try and eat while wearing dresses and sitting in over stuffed chairs and low coffee tables. We would prefer sitting in a regular height table and will be sure to ask for that next year.

The Phoenician is the lovliest Afternoon Tea spot in AZ. We are always greeted warmly and happily, and chatted with when they checkning with us. Very attentive ladies, they work very hard. The Foods are delicious and beautifully prepared. So many Tea choices. We enjoy the Live Piano background music, and the gorgeous View. Tea at the Phoenician is 10/10 every time!
