We had soft shelled crab and sunumono salad for appetizers. Both were delicious. We had halibut, octopus, toro, mackerel, and unagi nigiri. Everything was high quality, and very tasty. Enjoyed talking to Richard when it got quiet. It's 37 miles from us, but worth the drive. We will be back.
The food is the best. I like to order a drink and wait for the food. Ordered a Manhattan and was told we don't have any sweet vermouth. I was told if we bought a bottle it wouldn't move? What? It's $8! Was going to order a martini but they have the smallest olives. Asked the bar tender why don't you get big olives from Costco. He shrugged. So I eat there or take out. No drinks.
Fresh and delicious sushi. Have the Blue Ginger Cosmo. Be patient, they are short staffed during these challenging times but the food and drink is worth it!
Heard nothing but good things about this place, sad to say they were completely inaccurate. Waitress acted like we were an inconvenience to her. 5 tables were completely filthy and had not been bussed, and stayed that way while we walked out an hour later after not receiving any food other than some second hand egg rolls that were made by mistake and pawned off on us as a poor attempt to make up for the fact that we only ordered 2 rolls and a single order of Nigiri and waited in excess of an hour and never received it. I can't tell you if the food was good or not, but judging from the filth, I'm glad I didn't get it. I can tell you we will never go back and that we left hungry. It was not busy, we showed up at 6:40 and left hungry and upset at 8:00pm. Don't waste your time.
We stopped at AJ's supermarket and noticed Blu Sushi. Looked it up, nice reviews so we stopped in. Loved it. Everything was really fresh and well presented. I only have two nits. The sake list is minimalist at best, clearly it's not their focus. And the Fire Roll, I swear you can taste the fuel they use for the fire. Kinda like too much liquid starter on charcoal briquettes that you can taste the fuel component. This is a very popular item and a lot of people order it. Don't let my nit stop you from dropping in. I'd go back in a second.
