Manuel's Mexican Cantina - Scottsdale

Our server was inattentive and failed to check in with us while these problems persisted. To make matters worse, they attempted to charge us for two happy hour margaritas instead of just the one we actually consumed. The manager dismissed our concern by saying it was only a couple of extra dollars because they had to remake several drinks. A respectable establishment would have comped something from the bill under those circumstances, but instead, they tried to charge us even more. This is completely unacceptable. On a positive note, the hostess, Jana, was fantastic! She truly deserves to be the manager because she demonstrated exceptional customer service and genuinely tried to resolve the situation. Thank you, Jana—you're amazing! As for the rest of the staff, I suggest you get your act together for the sake of your business.

I ordered a vegetarian green corn tamale tray for a party. 2 trays!!! One tray came with half green and half red sauce. The red sauce had beef in it????!!!!! What?????? So when someone orders green corn tamales you put beef in half the tray?? Really?? So my vegetarian guests who are that for religious reasons have to take a bite of beef?? Horrifying. Who on earth owns this place? Manuel where the heck are you dude? Your place sucks for quality measures.

Manuels has THE best pollo especial. (A chimichanga with best, juicy, tender, most flavorful shredded chicken mixed with chilis. It was covered in sauce and jalapeño cream cheese, onions and olives. Served with rice and beans. It was DELICIOUS and huge. Made for dinner and breakfast the next day before my flight home. The restaurant had live music, dancing, and a great vibe! Service was quick, and chips and salsa were tasty. It was such a fun and yummy place to eat. I would come back for sure.

Very disappointing. The food was very bland. The salsa was jar salsa. The beans have zero flavor. The rice similar. My taco was ok but this is a no go for me. Do not recommend at all
