Mccormick Ranch Golf Club - Scottsdale

Pros: The view of the golf course, lake, and hills was nice; the turkey, potatoes, and gravy were decent. Cons: The food selection was extremely limited; they didn’t even offer ham. While ham isn't a strict Thanksgiving staple like turkey, for a $70-per-person buffet, it should be included. The prime beef, which is less of a Thanksgiving necessity than ham, was mostly fat and so tough it felt like chewing on whale blubber—it was, without a doubt, the worst piece of prime I’ve ever had. The desserts were store-bought, or if they were homemade, their bakers must have had training from a gas station and middle school. The pumpkin pie was mediocre, and the crust was terrible. If I could do that day over again, I would have chosen just about any restaurant in Chandler or Gilbert and would have enjoyed a much better meal for 20% of the price. Plus, my server would have actually earned her tip with real service. And I wouldn't have had to drive 60 miles. Giving this experience two stars is being generous.

This place has really deteriorated. There are public courses nearby that are in much better condition, and the pace of play is unacceptable. An average of over 5 hours to complete 18 holes indicates that they prioritize profits over customer satisfaction. Given that this area is a golf paradise, I suggest exploring other nearby courses such as We-Ko-Pa, Wildfire, Grayhawk, TPC (the Champions Course is fantastic and relatively affordable), Raven, Troon, Dove Valley, McDowell Mountain, and more.

I would have to agree with the negative reviews on this place, it's not worth 1/2 of the price they're asking for green fees !!! Just because it's in Snottsdale ?? Nope, it's set up like ken Mcdonald Kenny mac is in better shape and less than 1/2 the price of this place!! You want primo ? Go to gold canyon !! Charging people for someone riding along that's not playing ?? Haa that's low life at its best !! And the snobby kids that work outside EXPECT a tip,and if you don't tip them or tip em less that $10 they walk away and make dirty faces ?? !! These courses are not worth more than $25

Very nice facility. We were there for a wedding. Was handled very nicely. Food was good. Good party, beautiful atmosphere on a pretty lake surrounded by the golf course.

Nice course. Friendly staff. Fairly well maintained. Decent price. Would play again.
