State 48 Lager House - Scottsdale

This is one of our favorite places to eat. We always stop here on our way to Salt Lake City. The food is great with large portions and it is fresh. Their service is exceptional, everyone is friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. Their margaritas are great. This is a very relaxed atmosphere. You can't go wrong at State 48 Lager House.

Out of the many locations, the Lager House is bright and colorfulI enjoy all of the State 48 locations. Each one is big, open and has good patio space. The Lager House location on Hayden in Scottsdale is on the traffic circle by the Harley Davidson and GO AZ Motorcycle shops. This makes for more traffic noise but also an interesting bustling car and motorcycle watching spot. Also, not only does it have a large patio, but it is a double story.Pictured food is the pretzels with beer cheese and the beer cheese burger. I figured this would be the place to get good beer cheese! They obviously have beer but also some great cocktails. I can't remember the name, but I always enjoy their gin craft cocktail.

Great fun, friendly atmosphere. Love the art work on the walls. There beer is perfectly cold and served in a cold glass with plenty of selections. I would absolutely give there beers a five star but there food is only ok. I wasn’t happy with the food that I ordered. It wasn’t anything special. The service was great. We were greeted and seated right away. I would love to return for there beers but not there food and unfortunately I prefer to have appetizers while I enjoy a drink so I don’t think I will return.

First time at this location. Came in at an off peak time, restaurant was not busy. Sat at bar and waited several minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there. Severely understaffed. Bartender was essentially the only server, plus she was in the kitchen helping with food. One customer sent his dish back. Another table walked out after being seated because nobody came to their table. We followed them out. Not as nice as the now closed store by Gainy ranch. No need to try again. In today’s world you get one chance.

We left early, to make sure we made it by open at 11, and the manager let us in early, she said she didn't want us waiting outside, which we were happy to wait because we knew we were early. She was not having it, and quickly and warmly invited us in and found the wonderful beer we had at the state 48 funk house, they had different names, but here, it is Bevertail Blueberry Stout it was as amazing as it was the weekend before. Pretzel and beer cheese, Totchos, and grilled cheese and tomato soup for the win! The manager, has my heart, she was so great and so super social. Thank you!! ? This will definitely be a main spot! For customer service, beer, and food!
