Feedback gevenThe food was excellent and the courtyard itself was very nice, however the service with regards to clearing away dirty used pots was a little haphazard. The thing that spoiled it for me was the rather grotty toilets. They really do need an update. All that being said, The afternoon tea that we had was delicious, sandwiches that we chose ourselves, small sausage rolls, slices of quiche a small salad, coleslaw, and bowls of crisps all very nicely served on long boards. The cakes were brought out at the same time, again on a long wooden board. Scones with butter, pots of jam and individual pots of clotted cream. There was also millionaire shortbread and a very crumbly shortbread topped with jam and crumble. I had Earl Grey tea to drink, others in the party had coffees again all nicely served. The only thing that stopped it being 5* was, as I said before, the toilets and the slightly sloppy service
Great Café for a light bite to eat and drink. Historical buildings and local library right next door. Food is good and priced very reasonably.
A very pleasant environment to come for a coffee, nice range of cake
