This was our first experience at Travail. We went for the Friends Buddy Bar experience. Overall the experience was fun. It reminded me a lot of a Disney experience. The food was fine, but I could tell the struggle was real to make it Friends themed. Yes it they did have Trifle, and no meat was in it. The steak with a ketchup sauce really killed it for me though. Lasagna was on point and the best dish of the night. The drinks were fine, 5 half pours (2.5 drinks today).

Wow! This place is amazing! We enjoyed the hospitality and attention to detail was always on point! Dave was amazing with his knowledge on our wine pairing, and keeping us entertained and informed! I highly recommend this amazing restaurant.

I am reluctant to leave a negative review, especially given a fantastic experience I had at Travail two years ago. However, my recent visit for the GIGLIO tasting menu was underwhelming. Out of the 22 dishes served, none stood out as exceptionally delicious. The only memorable dish was the Basil Pesto Gnocchi, which was unfortunately memorable for the wrong reasons—it tasted like undercooked dough. The overall taste of the menu was marred by an excessive use of salt, making it difficult to enjoy the flavors intended.The inconsistency in dish preparation was evident. For instance, while my Mackerel Crudo detached from the plate effortlessly, my sister struggled as hers was firmly adhered to the bottom.The atmosphere was passable. I appreciate the intent behind the dinner party theme, but the execution fell flat. One particularly awkward aspect was the confession booth meant for guests to purify their souls, which felt more cringe-worthy than innovative. This visit didn 't live up to the high standards set by my previous experience at Travail.

Travail never ceases to amaze me. Their attention to detail is impeccable. I’ve been there twice and both times I have not been even somewhat disappointed.The first time we went for a French bistro inspired 8-10 course meal. This was before the pandemic so it was a long while ago.This last time was Friday and we went to Buddies Bar. Friends is by far one of my favorite shows so when I saw that I just had to make reservations. I am pregnant so I opted for the NA cocktails and requested the appropriate dietary restrictions in hopes to still partake. They made all the adjustments like it was no big deal. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere was perfectly Central Perk; so many quiet nods to the show. The menu and the pairings were so perfect. My favorite things from the menu were the lasagna and the filet but truly I loved everything so much. Apart from the delicious taste of the food, the attention to detail from the show translated into the room and the menu was so cool to witness.They played relevant portions of the show with everyone and we got to play trivia. It was very, very cool. I hope they continue to have themes like this.
