Sam's Boat - Seabrook

We were in town for a wedding and decided to try Sam's Boat since it was conveniently located just down the street from our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and drinks. The waitress was very attentive and dedicated to ensuring we had a great experience. We also enjoyed a fantastic sunset view from our table on the deck overlooking Clear Lake (see photo). If we return to the area, I would definitely come back here.

I absolutely loved my shrimp taco order! The blend of spices, cabbage, and the corn tortilla was simply delightful. The Mexican rice was superb, which is impressive because so many places tend to overdo it with the oil. Sam's boat has a clean and tasteful atmosphere, without any heavy oils. The Borracho beans had a nice sharpness, but it wasn't overpowering—it had just the right amount of kick. A big thanks to Bailey for recommending these dishes! I’ll definitely be back for another visit.

The Queso-Cab-Dip is truly unforgettable in the best way possible! I really enjoyed my black shrimp tacos. However, my husband wasn't impressed with his flounder; he found it bland and overly greasy. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic, including the service from Rachel.

Near the water with beautiful views. It was too hot to eat outside, but they have dozens of outdoor and indoor seats. The service was quite slow, we ate dinner at 4:15 on a tues and it took over half an hour for food. Our waitress was very friendly, timely and always kept the water full. I ordered grilled catfish and it was great. My son had the Avocado Burger and enjoyed him and my daughter enjoyed the chicken wings (appearants). We all enjoyed their Calamari, great taste and well cooked. The hostesses were very rude when we came in. There was a sign that said to sit down, but I felt it was strange, so I asked to confirm. She reacted, and went back to chat with the other person and let us wander in. On the way out I said thank you and they ignored us.

I rarely ever give anything under 3* unless they absolutely deserve it. We were a party of 6. Place was about 4 parties there. Food came out super late. Everyone's main course had something wrong with it. -Wife had 2 strands of hair in her food. Catfish underseasoned and their jalapeño sauce looked something out of a sauce bottle and watery -Crawfish literally had muddy water in the bottom of the bowl. You know if it's that bad, then it was poorly seasoned. -Snowcrabs had a weird moss looking thing on most of them. Undercooked. -Mahi Mahi grilled was just okay. Nothing spectacular nor terrible. -Margarita was decent. On the stronger side, which I liked. -Brownie dessert was pretty good. So guess come here for a drink and dessert and call it a night folks.
