This was a party of 4 on a return visit for a mid-week lunch. All were determined to try something different from the to die for fish and ships but alas all failed. As usual we were not disappointed. It will be hard to find better if what you are looking for is a good Pub lunch cooked to order,
Have just returned home tonight after the most amazing meal we have had in a very long time and very reasonably priced. Child friendly. Covid friendly. Service was first class. Homemade chicken nuggets for the kids and huge ice-creams for dessert. We had the potato skins, excellent. Followed by a perfect steak with peppercorn sauce for me and garlic chicken for my other half. AMAZING!! The gluten free menu has so many choices which is brilliant. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert, maybe next time if we walk from Blyth to build up a bigger appetite.
Went for lunch today and were so impressed with the atmosphere, friendly staff and the quality of the food excellent, and a bonus is that small portions are available for most of the dishes. Will be returning
Excellent pub with good beer which is getting harder to find nowadays. Staff are amazing. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. A proper good old fashioned pub just how pubs should be.
