Tea Cake Max - Seaton Delaval

I made a reservation for dinner on Sunday, and it was delightful! The food was homemade and fresh, with tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat. The warm welcome from the lovely Maxine was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place!

What a charming little spot! As soon as you step through the door, you're greeted warmly, and I love that it's dog-friendly too! I enjoyed a cup of tea along with a delicious chocolate cupcake. I don't indulge in cupcakes very often, but it was absolutely delightful! My dog Bobby certainly enjoyed it as well—what collie could resist a sausage? We will definitely be back, as we felt very welcomed!

I received Max's details from the Inspire Network, as she was helping with my father's funeral on short notice. She did an absolutely amazing job, and I can't recommend her highly enough. All of Max's food was homemade and prepared with love and care. Just before the funeral, she asked me about my father's favorite treats, and when I mentioned chocolate, she made a chocolate cake as a personal tribute, even though she had never met him. Working with Max during this difficult time was truly a joy, and she expressed such pride for my father. Many thanks to her!

Nice eating and sunday dinners are to die, love there savory cakes and bun cakes, and if they did not taste chicken curry their missing on a wonderful curry, also had tasty there

Delicious pork dips for lunch today at Tea Cake Max. Pork was meltingly soft and tender and the gravy was to die for. Pot of tea to go with it and then ice creams all round! A very satisfied little family today! Max we will definitely be back soon. (Also took coffee and walnut cakes, fruit scones and a family corned beef pie home)
