After arriving and sitting down, we were asked to move from the window seat to another table for another party. At this point my partner and I should have just left. This left a poor taste for us and literally ruined our night. Food was mediocre and staff was not helpful at all. Staff did not do anything to remedy the situation and did not care that we had to move from our seats after sitting down and starting to order our meals. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was literally the worst dining experience of my life. I warn all my friends and family not to come here. Shame on you.
Absolutely wonderful spot in Seattle. It is so cozy with a great view and atmosphere, but the food is what really makes this restaurant stand out. I was so surprised by the innovative combinations of food served, and everything was incredible. I will definitely be dining here again!
My new favorite cozy, romantic dining spot. French/Italian/Japanese fusion takes the subtle flavors from each culture to create unique gastronomic experiences. Pair yazu with creme fraiche or ponzu into a tomato demi glace, and you will feel as though you've traveled halfway around the world only to find yourself at home.Tempura black cod over risotto or mixed greens with goat cheese and shiso are Iconiq's version of comfort food. All of this in a Mount Baker location with a view that is an escape from the denizens of the hoity-toity downtown crowd.I'm only sharing this now, more than a year after discovering it, just so I could savor this spot before the Yelp masses descended. These days, just be sure to make a reservation.
Chef Kawai provides an awesome experience at his restaurant with friendly service and outstanding dishes. I recommend making a reservation for a date night and get a window seat at sunset to watch the sun go down over Puget Sound/Downtown while you drink a glass of wine.I have gone here three times now and enjoy the seasonal menu every time. This last time I went, I tried the Pork Belly confit and it was the most tender and well balanced pork dish I've ever had. Also there was a black truffle risotto that was so flavorful! I love the combination of French dishes with Japanese influence. It makes room for so many possibilities every time I come here.
Great dinner! We went there with friend’s recommendation for a celebration and it didn’t disappoint. Seasonal menu’s on-point and their infamous truffle risotto was a must. We hadn’t had a luck for last 6mos or so finding a restaurant worth paying for, and they were definitely worth it!! Cozy and elegant atmosphere, great service, and AMAZING food. Definitely will be back for more.
