Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian choices available, including ice creams, desserts, drinks, and meals. Kid-friendliness: The space is well-lit and spacious, making it great for families. Parking: There's plenty of street parking available right in front of the shop.
During our visit to Pike Place, we decided to grab some ice cream and made our way to this location after having previously visited the Bellevue branch. We were there to pick up an online order for pints of Black Sesame ice cream, which is not available at the Bellevue store. The café has a convenient sidewalk window for online order pickups, so there’s no need to step inside; just ring the bell, and a staff member will assist you. The staff were friendly, quick, and efficient, making the pickup process smooth. The window area is equipped with napkins and to-go utensils for customers. Be aware that the street in front of the café is a one-way, single lane with only about five parallel parking spaces. Most of these spots are reserved, so I wouldn’t rely on finding parking nearby. The street also has through traffic, mainly due to construction, so it’s best to avoid blocking the lane when picking up your order. The sidewalk is wide enough to accommodate several picnic tables, but you will need to get out of your car to access the pickup window, as there is no drive-thru service. Inside, the café is spacious and cozy, though it feels a bit more cluttered compared to the Bellevue location. A large cement pillar in one corner adds to the ambiance. There are plenty of two-person tables—both round and square—along with chairs and bench seating. One particular bench has small personal tables in front of it, located right along the main walkway. The busing station is located in the far back corner near the two unisex restrooms and features napkins, utensils, stirrers, sugar, to-go cups and caps, plastic takeout containers, and small paper bags. There are also bins for used dishes, thoughtfully separating trash, recycling, and compost (though, unfortunately, there weren’t any labels to help distinguish them). Free water with paper cups is conveniently available next to the busing station. When the café is busy, there is a 60-minute seating limit. I’m not sure how they enforce this, but there are notices about it. There are only a few outlets, but I did notice some patrons working on laptops. They offer free Wi-Fi, with the password displayed on small stands at the tables. In terms of food quality, it matches the Bellevue location, although I did notice the parfait and ice cream portion sizes are larger here in Seattle. This time, we tried a Black Sesame mochi parfait and soft-serve matcha ice cream. Unfortunately, the croissants were sold out when we arrived. The Black Sesame parfait was delicious, with the black sesame jelly being more substantial and less watery than the matcha jelly. The black sesame flavor in the ice cream was quite strong. The soft-serve matcha ice cream, however, was more bitter compared to the scoop version. This could be because the scoop ice cream is produced and distributed from a central location, while the soft serve is made in-house as needed, resulting in potential variations in quality. The most consistently good soft-serve matcha ice cream I’ve experienced is in the DMV area, but I must say Nana’s offers excellent scoop matcha ice cream. Overall, I would definitely return, although we personally prefer the Bellevue location for its parking availability, overall location, and convenience.
We’ve been here before, this is our third times here getting dessert. This place never fails to amaze us! The service is always amazing. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The place is clean and vibe is chill. If you’re looking for real matcha dessert, this is THE PLACE! We prefer the matcha vanilla swirl to balance the bitterness of the matcha and sweetness of the vanilla. Great place to try new dessert place too, so many varieties. The restrooms need a little cleaning though.Vegetarian options: There are a couple vegetarian savory meals. Plenty of vegetarian dessert options.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids selections.Parking: Difficult to find parking nearby the store. There is plenty of parking spots for the paid parking lot next block.Wheelchair accessibility: Located on the ground level. Handicapped street parking is available.Dietary restrictions: No vegan options that I’m aware of.
Great atmosphere and a huge selection of all things matcha tea style. There is food here and it avrgs to $15 16 for the curry or bowls. Flavouring is good but nothing to write home about it is food that satisfies the craving/hunger. The tea drinks are well made and flavorful at avrg of $6 7 . There are combo meals where they give you miso soup too. Lots of seating but can still get packed very easily. They also serve dessert here but didn't give that a try. You bus your own tables here also after ordering from the front. Clean spot and nice decor.
