I was just a child and we had the experience with a family friend called pho. it was amazing and we knew it wasn't enough after a time. So we were looking for a place to find a good place near us. after a bit of time and many bowls, dinge experienced as too thick of cuts of bland broth, to dirty bowls. it was quite an adventurous, but it was worth it. we finally came to the north side of rainier, where we had found the best bowl of pho for the first time that we had ever tasted. pho hai yen . me and my father then. we ordered the number 17. To date, I have never had a better bowl of pho. Not only is it the most delicious bowl ever, but the bond we have actually built with the family here over the years is amazing. I know now that you children take the legacy, and it can not take time, but I must say thank you! as they have experienced for all the good times I had with my friends and family in their restaurant. seriously these times will be missing for the rest of my life and I hope at some point I will find a pho as good as the recipe of her family. many thanks again pho hai yen and the family that kept it in mind
I continue to be really impressed with the freshness, deliciousness and speed of the service at Pho Hai Yen. It's a family run place and on my most recent visit, my food was ready in 15 mins when I called to place the order for takeout, which was perfect timing for me to run out to pick it up and bring it back home still hot. My husband enjoyed it so much he said it was the best Vietnamese he's ever had (normally he prefers Thai to Vietnamese so this was a big statement ! He ordered the #37 (Grilled Pork Bún , and I got the #46 (Bún tôm nớng chả giò Grilled Shrimp, Egg Rolls and Rice Vermicelli which has become my go to order from Pho Hai Yen. It's light and refreshing with the veggies and vermicelli, yet savory thanks to the egg roll, grilled shrimp and sauce that comes with it. Highly recommend supporting this local spot next time you're in the mood for yummy Vietnamese! Seems like their hours have adjusted to only being only open on Friday Sunday as of recently.
One of my favorite dishes is the mi quang, there's a lot going on in here. I highly recommend this dish! Portions are huge and they have great service and prices.
I enjoyed the well-prepared beef pho and the bun bo hue, which featured tender meat and flavorful meatballs—both were excellent. The service was quick and friendly. The fried rolls and spring rolls were also delicious. Even though this restaurant is primarily known for its pho, they offer nearly ten varieties of bun bo hue as well. The spicy broth did not disappoint, and there was an assortment of dipping sauces, including a fantastic unmarked sauce with a unique flavor. Additionally, a banh mi was coming out of the kitchen when we were there, and it looked great too!
The fresh spring roll is outstanding! They include a small deep-fried chip in the roll, which takes it to another level. It’s a fantastic combination that I absolutely love! As for the beef pho, it’s pretty much the same as what you find everywhere else.
