Feedback gevenThe waitress was incompetent. kitchen staff was incapable. it took an hour to serve us when they were very few people there. in the meantime, they did not produce any drinks, nor did they bring our appetizers. when they finally served us, they forgot one of the four entrées. at this point they did not really seem to realize that it was an inconvenience, and spent another 20 minutes to bring it out, although we had said not to disturb. then they said they wouldn't charge us for the late entrée. Finally they did the right thing and wrote off the whole meal. but I would rather pay $200 than to eat free under these conditions. don't go there. Never go there. as soon as this restaurant closes and is replaced by something else - say an extension of parking - the better.
A lot of time sitting without attention: We arrived on Sunday and were seated promptly at 11:15. There was no one at the tables within 12 feet of us until much later. This is important to note. It was NOT busy, even though it was before a Paramount musical at 1 pm. The food was good and prepared to our liking. Presentation was ok. What was not to our standards was that our server was apparently doing double-duty elsewhere and there were gaps of 15-20 minutes or more between seating, drink selection, entree selection...and that 's it. We were never asked if the food was to our liking or if we needed anything else. That, to me, is not right...the gaps in attention and then not asking if we required any assistance. Finally, at 12:23 pm I saw the server at the terminal and asked that we have our bill prepared and provided as soon as possible as we as we did not want dessert and had a 1 pm performance to attend. He promptly provide the bill...I gave him my credit card immediately...and we left within 5 minutes. Summation: food is find but for this instance, service was less then desirable.
It's been a while since I dined at Relish, and it didn't disappoint. My meal was very good, fresh ingredients as always. Service was excellent. My only criticism really is the noise level. It was hard for my friend and I to hear each other, and we had to raise our voice level to be heard. Doubt that much can be done about it, but thought it was worth mentioning. The noise level won't keep me from returning however, as I love the food.
We made a reservation for Thanksgiving, showed up 30 minutes early and they got us to a table without any problem. The server was very professional, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was comfortable upscale casual. No complaints here.
The dinner lasted a little long, but we all enjoyed and would go again. our waitress was excellent.
