Came here while on a road trip and was pleasantly surprised to find legit ramen in the area. Atmosphere felt like a true Japanese izakaya. Note: we went on a Saturday night at 7pm and it was pretty busy most people needed reservations or it was a one hour wait. Food: Chicken Karage was amazing. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Creamy tomato ramen was creamy indeed and the blistered tomatos packed a punch. Spicy Tantanmen ramen was delicious too. Compared to the tomato ramen, it was heavier in flavor with a hint of Sichuan pepper in the soup.
This used to be a favorite place of mine however the last few visits were pretty disappointing. There are not many vegetarian options to begin with and the ones they do have can be hit or miss. Allergens are not clearly labeled and servers sometimes are not prepared well to answer them. My husband is allergic to most seafood/shellfish and we had asked prior to ordering if the ramen had any of that and initially were told no. We asked again after my husband starting having a reaction and they double checked with the kitchen to let us know that most dishes have fish or oyster sauce in it, but you wouldn't know unless asked. On our last visit, we tried a different rice option and it was just pretty disappointing. For folks with no dietary restrictions it's probably a great place, just not if you do.
