Star Fish - Sedgemoor

The food at this restaurant is delightful, but unfortunately they always seem to get the orders wrong. I have never received a correct order, even after multiple attempts. One time, I had to go back to my holiday home (which I have been visiting since 1977) to find that a large cod was missing from my order. When I called the restaurant, they insisted that I was mistaken. After some back and forth, they finally gave me the missing fish, which I had to collect just 0.6 miles away. This has been a recurring issue with every order, but I stopped questioning it because the more expensive items were usually correct. It seems that the problem lies with the female employee who handles the orders at the register, as we are never given a detailed receipt. Tonight, my wife and I even joked about whether our order would be correct, and sure enough, we received a plain sausage instead of the battered one we had ordered. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are fantastic and clearly beloved by locals, but it is baffling why they consistently get our orders wrong.

Great portion size and love the batter on the Fish. Chips good size not loads of scraps. Parking a pain in the bum but that's life

I decided to re-visit this fish chip shop after a bad experience last year am so glad that I did, I ordered haddock and chips from the lady on the till once it was freshly cooked carefully wrapped up I drove to the seafront to eat it, the aroma in the car was making me starving after unwrap my meal I had to get rid of the inner packaging as it was oil logged, i put salt vinegar on the chips this food did not disappoint superseded everything that I have ever eaten in this area, crispy flavoursome light batter with moist white fish inside the chips were also crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle, absolutely delicious I cannot wait to return when I am next in the area. Please note that they only take cash payments, no cards there is a carpark very nearby that you can pay 40p for just 30mins parking up until 6pm which is enough time to collect your order, especially if ordering by telephone prior to save you waiting.

Spotted this Chippy on last night of our Hols. Queue outside anywhere usually means it's good. Its better than good the best fish chips we have had in a very long yime

Fish and chips always cooked to perfection and portions are HUGE at a very reasonable price visit often and always come here if in the area
