We enjoyed the Sunday carvery here, the food was nice and servers pleasant. Being Easter Sunday it was very busy but everything seemed to run smoothly.
This restaurant has greatly improved since allowing families in the main bar. It used to be full of older people drinking soda water, but it's now filled with young families enjoying themselves by eating, drinking, having fun, and dancing. The kids had a great time in the kids' room before joining the adults to enjoy the live band. They showed us how to party and everyone had a fantastic time!
I have had many happy hours at the Beechcomber over the past 15 years. It used to be my favorite spot in Brean, especially because children were allowed in the main cabaret room until 9 pm. However, in recent times, the appeal of the venue has decreased due to the crowded room filled with tired children during the usually excellent shows. There is already another suitable room for children and families to use, so I believe it would be fair to reinstate the 9 pm time limit for children in the main cabaret room. This would not only allow customers to enjoy their evening meals and entertainment in peace, but also give the acts a chance to perform to an appreciative audience. As it stands, the main cabaret room is overcrowded with customers standing, making it difficult to find a seat. I hope the management can consider this change so that we can continue to enjoy the Beechcomber as much as we have in the past.
I visited this restaurant for the carvery roast dinner and found it to be very good value for money. There was plenty of food and the meat was tender. My only complaint is that the cutlery we used was blunt and could use replacing.
