My wife and I had been doing a little shopping in the village and when it got to around lunch-time, Beth decided she fancied a snack. I'm not a big lunch eater, but thought I'd have a cuppa tea while she ate. There was a small lunch with variations on the menu consisting of a couple of poached eggs Benedict on a bed of smoked salmon, which looked very tasty, so I decided to try it. The dish was served cooked as fresh as could be, tasty in the extreme, by a lovely lady. It was very reasonably priced, and filling enough to be satisfying without being too filling. I'd seen the bar before, but not really given it any notice, but after this delicious lunch, I think I'll go back there again
I brought my friend to this restaurant last Saturday, as she is not from Liverpool and had never been here before. We were both impressed by the delicious food and the excellent service. We will definitely be returning in the future, as we couldn't find any faults with our experience.
We decided to stop by on a whim and we were not let down. The lunch menu had a great selection at affordable prices. We ordered two ploughman’s lunches and made a few modifications, which the waitress happily accommodated. The food was delicious, especially the homemade ham. The only suggestion would be to discard the first slice of bread when slicing from a loaf that has been sitting for a while, as it can be a bit stale. Overall, we had a satisfying meal.
All the food is prepared fresh to order at this restaurant. The salt and pepper chips are the best I have ever tasted. They offer great deals such as 2 large pizzas and a bottle of wine for only £23. I highly recommend this place.
