Texas Crab Company - Seguin

I just spent $40 at your truck at the Texaco in Buda. The food is refrigerator cold. I won’t be back. That’s embarrassing.

I was planning to get a Schlotzsky’s next-door, but their drive-through was slammed, and inside was full to bursting of a busload of out of town high school bus students. I’ve been driving by Texas Crab before but never stopped. This time hunger drove me in. I decided to eat inside and got the lunch special fried shrimp basket with 10 shrimp, fries and a huge iced tea. The shrimp were some of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, plump, not flat and butterflied. Can’t speak for any of their other dishes, but I will definitely be back for the shrimp again. When you find a five-star dish in an unassuming, unexpected and surprising place, why ever order anything else?

Why there isn't a line around the block with people lined up for food is beyond me. I haven't even finished eating and I'm already giving a 5 star review. The fried fish is all I've had so far but I intend to go back and for more. The woman at the drive thru was nice and food is amazing. My only wish (and it's a very small wish) was for fresh tartar sauce instead of the packets. Other than that zero complaints. Delicious!

Finally tried this place and I'm kicking myself for not stopping by sooner. It was absolutely delicious! I didn't dine in, just carry out and I noticed the place is very small, but not at all unpleasant- more cozy. But Im guessing this place fills up quickly at peak hours. I tried the shrimp, fish, and calamari. They were all great, cooked perfectly. The portions are very large- I ordered one appetizer, 1 entree and a side of 5 extra shrimp and it was more than enough for 3 people with big appetites. We will definitely be back. Something else I really loved about this place- the to go containers were NOT Styrofoam. They were aluminum. Thank you to the owner for doing that!

We came with high expectations seeing the great reviews. We went in and got the Large Shrimp tray for two people and it looked appetizing. However it is so clear this is food that was boiled in water all day long. The sausage, shrimp, and potato’s were incredibly squishy to the point you barely had to chew. There was a ton of seasoning however it did not leave me craving for more. It was sad we got the leftovers of someone else’s boil.
