But yesterday it was completely different. We had to wait exactly 15 minutes before we could order everything and 1 hour and 15 minutes before dinner. The lamb Byriani was with good lamb, but the Byriani was made from poor quality rice and without a good taste. Cooked too long. The chicken massala was ok and the fish curry had a good taste, although the sauce actually tasted the same as the Massala sauce. A great disappointment, again, was the waiting time and is not acceptable.
Ordnete Samosa and Chicken Marsala and thought the sum was 17.50. I didn't take rice or naan because they were separated in the menu. I wanted to pick up my order, 19,50 and got everything as if I were going in. Appetizer, with sauces, small salad, samosa, rice, marsala and naan. I was very pleasantly surprised. The third time to eat here and it was great.
Beautiful environment, very friendly and helpful staff, filling and delicious food! The butter chicken and bread was my favorite. If you are in Selfkant, you have to stop a pit here!
After reading the reviews here I was really looking forward to trying this place out. Location is in the middle of nowhere in a retail park. Place seemed to lack atmosphere too, but maybe the food would make up for that. We had a social deal voucher which cost €12 so I wasn 't expecting much. The first course was a small side salad, ingredients were fresh, no remarks. For our main course we could choose from one chicken and one vegetable dish, served with rice, naan en poppadoms. Service was slow as there seems to be only one man serving and it took around 30 minutes for food to arrive. I disagree with the comments here, as I wouldn 't call it authentic. It wasn 't freshly made, tasted like it was a packet sauce and was badly reheated. When I eat (good) Indian food, I expect to taste fresh garlic, ginger or chilli. I couldn 't taste any of that in these dishes. The channa masala clearly isn 't a fast mover here, I don 't dare to think how long it had sat in the fridge going by the taste of it. Rice had been keeping warm or been reheated and the prepacked naan was not light or fluffy but had the texture of chewing gum. All that being said, the meal only cost €12 so not a bargain in terms of quality but if you 're not fussy and just looking to fill your belly then go ahead. Personally I 'd rather pay more for better quality and freshly made food so I wouldn 't return here. Also a note about paying, we had no cash so were told we could either withdraw money from a nearby machine or use our pin card for a minimum of €10. We had bought €11 worth of drinks but were still charged 0.50 by the restaurant to use our Dutch bank card.
Ordered samosa and chicken Marsala and thought the total was I assumed no rice or naan as they are on the menu separately. I went to pick up my order, and got everything as if I dined in. Appetizer, with sauces, small salad,...samosa, rice, marsala, and naan. I was very pleasantly surprised. Third time eating here and it was great.
