Having dined at the Victory many times and always been happy with the quality of food and service, we visited the Victory this week and were left very disappointed. There were four of us, 3 chose the chicken roulade, which was salty, dry and overcooked and the accompanying vegetables a little greasy. I had the T-Bone special, which was meant to be medium rare and was delivered medium. Also when ordering I asked if it came with potato and was told no, so I asked if potatoes on the side was possible, advising I did not want wedges or chips and was delivered wedges and then my meal was delivered with scalloped potatoes? The final disappointment was when the meal was finished we split the bill and I went to pay my portion $119 with a $150 voucher gifted by our children and was told I would have to spend the $30 on something then! After much discussion the Lady making the decisions, very begrudgingly, gave me a $30 voucher and made it very clear that she was not happy to do the right thing. It was just a disappointing experience from a normally very professional team.
Food was great but very noisy, couldn't hear what the person next to u was saying
We are here on Sunday night for dinner. the waitresses were okay, but not very happy. very slow service and had to wait 40 minutes for our desserts! (kids eissonne, sticky date pudding and a cheese board). However, the undercover outdoor area was very nice and the eating delicious. Unfortunately, the children spaghetti bolognaise was too small to satisfy the 8 years old and the vegetarian meal of the aubergine quite small and unfillable.
We were already in the victory hotel a few times and were not disappointed yet. on a beautiful spring or summer day you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea while making good on delicious, fresh and simple eating. the pork with noodles was a real winner to try something completely different. the salt and pepper scatter were crisp and light and moorish. the grass area offers diners with the possibilities to enjoy a drink or two after lunch in the sun. a beautiful day spent here.
