Candy Lady - Selma

While planning our trip, I came across The Candy Lady online. Knowing we would be visiting Selma, Alabama, and looking for activities that would appeal to three seniors and two children, I felt this would be a perfect stop—and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The owners of the shop were exceptionally polite, friendly, and accommodating, as well as well-informed about all the desserts and the local area. From the banana split to the wildly colorful ice cream, and not to mention the most delicious strawberry cheesecake ice cream I've ever tasted, The Candy Lady offers a delightful experience for your taste buds. It truly captures the essence of Southern comfort and satisfies any sweet craving. If you're in need of a sugar fix, The Candy Lady is the place to be!

Since we were visiting Selma, Alabama, and needed activities for three seniors and two children, I knew this place would be a great stop—and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The owners were incredibly courteous, friendly, and accommodating, with a wealth of knowledge about their desserts and the local area. From the banana split to the vibrant ice cream flavors, and especially the most delicious strawberry cheesecake ice cream I've ever tasted, The Candy Lady is a treat for the senses. It perfectly captures Southern comfort and is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. If you're in need of a sugar fix, The Candy Lady is the place to go!

I tried a Philly cheesesteak, a grilled chicken wrap with fries, an Oreo cupcake shake, and a strawberry cupcake shake. The cheesesteak was of excellent quality, with a tasty bun and steak; however, I would have liked a bit more filling. The wrap and fries were enjoyable as well. The real stars of the meal were the shakes; both were fantastic! The strawberry shake was especially delightful, tasting fresh without any artificial or overly sugary flavors, and it was a fun, messy treat to enjoy!

I stopped by to try the Candy Lady this week, and I can tell you that every city needs a Candy Lady! The menu is filled with anything you can possibly think of, from traditional wings, burgers and fries to funnel cakes, speciality ice cream shakes, delicious pies, candied fruits, only to mention a few.... Oh, my favorite, shaved ice! You choose your favorite flavor!Although, the prices were reasonable, They were confusing to some of the customers that were there during my visit. Posted menu price lists were not consistent. I think, some prices were posted with or without tax. However, I will visit again when I'm in the area.

Food was great!! Kids loved the desert. I would recommend to anyone visiting to try The Candy Lady !
