Not that you need to go for good food and drink, because the bar and restaurant here can be compared with everyone. The staff was also very friendly and ready to do what had to be done to ensure that you enjoyed your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with decor is excellent. A bonus is that Seneca Falls feel a Bedford falls, right up to the bridge! Thank you to all for a great experience.
We just checked out our rooms. 5 stars are not almost enough as a rating! Extremely clean, very personable staff. The rooms are on the small side, but very cheap. I would definitely recommend the Gould and will certainly stay again!
What a beautiful building. Good nights sleep even though the beds are high, so if you have short legs, you may have to hop up to sleep. Clean room and bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good, especially on Sunday with eggs, sausage, Saturday was all done and take- no hot dishes.
Not that this is a 5-star hotel based on most rating scales, but I will say we were sceptical coming, but pleasantly surprised. You're still doing a renovation so that understandably a little inconvenience, but... The staff (each layer) was pleasant, courteous, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. They are not huge, but we were there for wine country and did not plan to spend the day in our room. Breakfast was good and the bar area had a local live music that had fun.
Don't judge a book by the cover. As we walked up the steps to initially enter, they were in bad shape needed paint and some repair. But once inside, the man at the desk couldn't be more hospitable and was throughout our stay. We had a queen suite and it was really nice. The bathroom was large and you could tell it had been recently renovated. Shower was great. Same for the bedroom. The sofa was not terrible comfortable but we didn't use it much. They allow pets which was a big plus. There was a park across the street to take the dogs out and a large parking lot in the back not far from the entrance. Their breakfast was above average except it was the same every day. The eggs were freshly made not like in chain hotels that import funky eggs. There was sausage and potatoes as well as cereal, cereal bars, fruit, assortment of bagels and bread as well as juices including cranberry which most hotels don't bother with. Street noise at night was our biggest complaint as big trucks rumble through town but we did manage to sleep. Close to everything in town.
