It's one of the worst sushi restaurants I was in. the price is affordable and it is an all they eat type of restaurant, but the product range is very limited and the products are not fresh. the rice is a moss and hard to eat. also the restaurant is not very clean. the tables were really sticky.
I am a regular customer of sabor fresco. it is also a take-off sushi bar, have some tables available to eat, but I use to order and grab. this new shoya sushi bar, is a real restaurant, with a lot. of tables to eat. I guess that was a Chinese restaurant that became sushi bar. but a presumption on the basis of the decoration. in the did is one of the things that could be annoying in the sabor fresco sushis bar (the competitive around the corner and first in the opposite) the fact if they do not order in advance by phone and only pop-in, they have a serious possibility to come back with empty hands or wait at least for an hour or more. I hear that about shoya that doesn't happen! So, for the first time I tried her sushi my wife was in the opposite and decided to jump in and get some sushi. it was in the did okay! this week I did the same, it was about 12 o'clock and I went to get a bit sushi! the restaurant was completely empty and dark, only the staff was on the back to eat. I asked about sushi and one dame answered and said they had it even though I had so strange, sushi must be freshened, but maybe they did early in the morning. then I saw them open the freeze and take many sushi and container with rice. I immediately asked if everything was fresh, the lady answered yes! okay, I took it! but already eat at home that some of them have not tasted as fresh, and in that I did with butterfish and the taste was terrible, defined not fresh! I give 3 stars on my advice here at tripadvisor, for the first time I tried the sushi of shoya, was ok, only my second experience was bad, I will give them a chance. in comparison to the more competitive around the corner, shoya have more variety and many tables and buffet menus, could be a good one. when freshened! the prices are the same as the competitor.
