Spirito Libero - SENIGALLIA

We were recommended to try this restaurant because of the pizzas although they have a full fish and meat menu as well. The pizzas are huge and ultra thin. Not a huge choice on the menu but you can choose your own toppings. It was really good. We had a seafood starter 'au gratin ' or gratinata which was really tasty and delicately prepared. Good value for money. We paid €59 for a bottle of decent wine, astarters for two and two pizzas water.

We read about the wafer-thin pizza and two of us wanted to try it, also were looking to have choices for the others in our party. Meat, fish and vegetarian menu items were available, so we decided to try it. Although the Zarina pizza was, in fact, excellent, the big surprise was the grilled tuna steak being declared best ever and a mixed seafood dish baked in a crust with a copious amount of mussels drawing rave reviews. There was also a selection of regional wines we had not seen previously. We tried one of the reds recommended by our waitress and found it to be a nice medium-bodied table wine. For the prices of the meals, Spirito Libero really out-performed.
