Although we were seated quickly and our young waitress in training was very nice, it was all beyond terrible from there. My daughter and I ordered the Plain Waffles with a side of hashbrowns and a side of cheesy grits. The waffles were raw on the inside and tasted like uncooked buttermilk. We advised the waitress we were sorry but were not expecting buttermilk in the waffle mix since the menu specifically says Plain waffles versus their buttermilk pancakes. She said they use the same batter for both pancakes and waffles even though the menu says differently. We asked if we could each get a piece of French toast instead since that was the only option without buttermilk. That was fine but they would not remove the waffles from the check even though we took 1 bite. Not only did they not rectify the situation, they were also non apologetic. If this wasn't bad enough, there was a bean in the grits and every cook at that was preparing food did not have gloves on while touching cold cuts, lettuce, and other cold food items with their bare hands. This was our 2nd visit and love to support our local businesses, however after this experience we will never spend our money here again. So I hope the two $4 waffles were worth losing repeat customers.

Downtown Diner (formerly Senoia Smokehouse) was an epic fail cold cut turkey being sold as a hot turkey sandwich .... it was so gross and so disappointing. The gravy was watery and the potatos were underwhelming to say the least. for $14 I expected something better.... They should just roast a couple of turkeys and do it correctly. Tip the cobb omelet was repulsive oily and just unpleasant with underripe tomatos and as you can see, burnt/undercooked hashbrowns totally disgusting. Do not waste you time or money at this place... such a shame!! Would love to hear Gordon Ramsey rampage about the **** food being served .
