Fir Tree House Tearoom - Sevenoaks

We arrived on Sunday at 4.00 clock. the garden was very busy so we decided to go inside as there were several tables free. when she entered, she cried a very grim, middle, aged lady at the top of her voice. wait there, she continued... I first thought she had to talk to her dog, she was so aggressive. She explained that they were very busy and we should wait in the corner. I don't think I've ever seen someone in a caffe or restaurant that's so rude and aggressive. Of course we decided not to stay. I felt like I was in an episode of faulty towers.

Beautiful garden amazing ambiente, real england, in its most beautiful! beautiful sceneries worth visiting. a small tipp swings not too late it is very popular- arriving when it opens. beautiful owners and employees.

Beautiful tee room. we sat outside on a beautiful summer day. we enjoyed scenarios and cakes that were fresh and delicious. the personal was pleasant and we will certainly visit again.

Visited for a afternoon tee after a walk around the beautiful small village penshurst. at the arrival it was not immediately obvious how to access the tee room, there is a sign outside that she waits for the garden, but the stable...door to the tee room was closed, but after asking a coworker who recommended to push the door open and get in. we sat right now because I was afraid to say a very unfriendly waitress. a bit mix with the sandwich order, but no problem. Tasty homemade scenes were served cold, which was a little shandy. no camouflaged cream only cream, but it tasted good. the cakes were also fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the overall experience was really abandoned by the stiff and cold atmosphere. our waitress was frosty and hostile, which felt very unpleasant, eating on the table sneaking and shy! such a scandal, since this is obviously a beautiful tee room with good quality eating and drinking. Unfortunately, the frosty and involuntary service means that we do not make a return visit in the near future.

The garden was very pretty, however it is situated on a main road so not a lot of parking. Some of the food did look different to the images I previously found online so maybe it has slightly changed in recent years. I had gone...because I thought cakes and scones looked delicious that I saw on trip advisor, but many of those cakes weren’t available anymore and it was lemon or fruit cake, which is fine if you like those but I was after the tart with strawberry and cream or the chocolate ones which weren’t available. The scones were disappointing they were your standard fruit scone however I do believe they were home made. The cream was cheap whipped cream and came out warm and the jam was your standard strawberry, so not worth the price. The sandwiches were nice but the bread could have been better it was a bit cheap and soggy, however the fillings were good would recommend the ham and cheese. The drinks were also very nice and the tea was good. Service was quick and the staff all seemed very nice and service was also fast. It was overall a bit disappointing as I had expected more from the images I had seen before I actually tried some of them.
