A lovley pub in Sevenoaks. Went for Christmas drinks with a special friend. The atmosphere was electric and service good and fast. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My wife,myself and our grownup daughter had lunch here a couple of days ago. The pub used to be called 'The Black Boy ' which my wife and I used when we were courting 55 years ago. Price 's have changed since then but first impression on walking in ,was it was like a pub should be. Basic furniture, spacious and welcoming. I found the menu a pleasant change from the usual pub menu, a little quirky which was good. I had Welsh Rarebit, my wife and daughter had Ploughman 's sandwich. They were brilliantly presented and adequate. The rest of the menu was interesting and made a good change from the usual pub menus.

Great atmosphere, lots of dogs, which is always a plus in my opinion, shame the ran out of food so early. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely landlord and great food. Wish the council parking nearby was a bit cheaper, but don't let this put you off well worth a visit! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
