When we got our first tapa (lima beans with octopus) we were surprised to find that the dish was bland, soggy and bad tasting – it was obvious that it came right out of the microwave. The lima beans were dry and old, and there was an indefinable fluid in the bottom of the bowl. We didn 't want to eat it. The next dish was a hake fish-burger. The patty was VERY fishy and the texture was like cardboard – DISGUSTING. I had to literally spit out my bite in a napkin. At this point we were about to ask the waiter not to bring us the last dish, but it had already been plated. The last tapa was three different kinds of cold cuts and cheese. The ham was dry, but it tasted fine. The cheese was extremely dry and when I turned a piece around, it had a musty spot on it (this kind of cheese (manchego-style) isn’t supposed to have moldy spots). We were disgusted and asked for the check immediately. When I told the waiter about our experience he suddenly didn’t speak a word of English anymore. I then tried in Spanish, but he almost ran into the bar. I wont recommend anyone to go there – it wasn’t just boring but disgusting!
First time visiting great weather lovely restaurants on the strip very clean and everyone very friendly stayed at a friend's villa 5 minutes from the strip
The food was good here. I had the local sherry and tapas of bulls tails and chips, sheep cheese, garlic olives and fried squid. The bulls tails were served in a rich sherry and pepper sauce. The meat was very tender the flavour was very rich and intense. This is a very local dish. . The cheese was as expected very earthy and it went well with the local sherry which was a deep amber colour deep, lingering and powerful but not sweet. The olives were really flavoursome olives with chunks of garlic. The squid was not the rings I was expecting but big chunks of octopus, coated in a very light batter and deliciously chewy. I was there on a Sunday, it was hot and a lot of people were around, but I was not rushed and the service was very good. The menus were in English too if you asked for them.
Went to see the nice beach, prom and restaurant scene. Lots of different apartments and villas with unique designs. A great walk along the front dotted with trendy bars and eateries. Highly recommended.
Do not use these as they are run by horrid couple that make you use them in harbour type area. We went out and as out of beech netting whole area was swamped by jelly fish. My son was brave enough to go down the slide on the boat and hit a rock. The guys response was not my problem. Awful and dangerous.
