Chartermark Seward

Was expensive even for Seward. Lunch for two with tip (my wife couldn 't figure out how to reduce it from 15% to reflect the service) was $62. What we got was three small halibut pieces with fries and a hamburger with fries. No drinks. We waited about five minutes by the please wait to be seated sign, then just sat down (two other tables occupied). Ordered and watched our food be put up on the counter for more than 5 minues until fries were room temperature. Burger was a pre-made crummy meat burger with brioche bun and a small handful of fries. Waiter didn 't refill water or check back to see how cold the meal was. Will never go near this place again, and recommend you do the same!

The restaurant i wanted to try was closed that day, so we ended up here. The menu is the exact menu as another restaurant in Seward; they must be owned by the same owner. I did not like the atmosphere here at all. The food and service were just ok. I ended up getting the Apple Maple Salad, with Salmon. Not enough greens in the salad. My husband got a burger and fries; it was fine. Limited restaurants in Seward, but i would try a different place next time.

The waitress was nice and friendly. The food was superb. We had halibut and salmon. So good. Highly recommend.

Very good food, on the high end of well priced. But at least the food felt worth the cost unlike many restaurants in touristy parts of AK. The mac cheese and reindeer meatloaf were amazing. The blue-cheese burger was very flavorful as well and the fries were average. Our service was good. This wasn't a great place to get beers however... they only seemed to have 1 tapped keg and when we were there there was an issue with the pressure so no beer. We did hear from locals that there seems to be some bad blood between the town and the owners. Allegedly the restaurant is (or hasn't been) owned by Seward locals and does not do much to support the community, bringing in labor from outside AK and not paying or treating the workers well. That said, these are not confirmed rumors. The food was still amazing. Just maybe consider tipping cash to give the workers more help.

We walked by and decided to pop in for a quick lunch and ended up having a fabulous lunch. I had a salad with salmon and strawberries and walnuts. Salmon was so good. My husband had the meatloaf and Mac n cheese. He said it was the best he’s had. Super friendly staff
