Wegweiser Inn came as one of the nearby restaurants and I realized that I drove for years, but never stopped. I had heard from other people that the food was good, so there was no time like the present to try. We were not disappointed! We ordered both varieties of their bbq sandwiches. Very good pig BBQ! The service was good and we will definitely eat again here.
I usually have some chicken when I visit the Wayside this time around I got a shrimp flat bread and it was delicious! For many reasons, our family loves the Wayside. My children are super-fans of their chicken pliers and hate any other way. We even take them on holiday. Cheers! Southwest chicken from another night.
The food is very good and tasteful and comes to you hot fresh and fast. The staff is very friendly. I love the pig bbq sandwich it's my favorite.
We all liked our food except one. His fish was cooked too long. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice. We sat at the lower fire table.
The last time I was here was in 1979 when it was not much more than a restaurant and small banquet facility. Today it is a sports bar with outside seating; practically unrecognizable. It definitely has a bar-feel to it, without losing its family-friendliness. The pictures on the wall indicate that this is Penn State and Philly sports country. We came for lunch, and were not disappointed with our sandwiches and generous portion of fries (for an upcharge). Prices were pretty reasonable. Our server was easy going and friendly. It would be fun to check this place out on a Friday or Saturday night to get a better sense of the local flavor, because I think this is where it's at.
