Sophie's Lounge - Shannon legal town

Today had a nice lunch, great to escape the office and be treated with star standard to the daily trips. professional and friendly service without feeling hastened, brought us back to work at the time. an oasis of comfort and style. Seafood Chowder was a standout.

I arrived at the hotel after a long drive and was looking forward to having a few drinks. The bar was quite busy, but when I was only on my second drink, I was informed that the bar was closing early due to lack of customers. I could have stayed at a cheaper bed and breakfast, but chose the hotel because I wanted to enjoy a few drinks before my flight. It was disappointing that the closing time in Ireland is earlier than expected in a public pub. A hotel should have a longer opening hours, especially for residents. I didn't want to have many drinks, just a few, but being told half an hour before closing time was unacceptable.

Lovely food drink with great service from the waitresses. Very helpful and accommodating, very pleased!

I ordered the Salmon dish at Sophie's and it was delicious. The salmon skin was crispy and tasty, and it came with a roasted fennel bulb that I really enjoyed. We were staying at Treacy's Oakwood Hotel, so it was an easy decision to dine downstairs at Sophie's. The ambiance was nice and the service was good.

We made a quick stop for a snack during lunchtime. The service was incredibly fast and excellent. The menu options were reasonable and we enjoyed a well-packed chicken wrap and a delicious black pudding salad. They also had a good sized car park available.
