Had a gift card to use so tried them out. Waitress was very friendly and quick to take orders and provide refills. Went at 5:30 on a Saturday to avoid the rush and we were the only ones there. 2 parties arrived before we left. It was summer and hot. Restaurant was a bit warm. Food was mediocre. I ordered the big baked potato topped with fixings and tri tip. It had several hard spots and the tri-tip appeared to be about 2 oz. Of left over trimmings from slicing up previous orders. Others ordered the basic BBQ combo. Nobody was impressed. Their meat was decent but sides were just borderline okay. Would not return unfortunately. If you just want to order BBQ meat, to go, it would be fine. Wish I could provide a better review as it would be nice to have a good BBQ spot in town and on the North side of Redding.
This was our second time eating breakfast here. The first time was a few weeks ago and they were out of biscuits! We specifically wanted to try their biscuits and gravy. Well, we had the gravy on some sour dough toast and it was very good. Today, we enjoyed one of the best breakfasts I've had eating out. We had the corned beef hash which was served atop some really good hash browns, 2 eggs over medium (albeit a little underdone but just slightly), hash browns with onion and biscuits and gravy, and a coffee. Brilliantly done all the way around! Amanda offered great service and we love the ambiance of the log cabin. Our thanks to the cook, Amanda, and being open when we were hungry for some food! Blessings!
One of the best BBQ joints in northern California would not be over stating it. No frills, no pretense and no flash...just the most delicious meats and fixings served by down home people that made us feel welcome and full! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
This is some of the best BBQ we have had. The baby back ribs are dry with a S&P+ rub and are so juicy and tender. The brisket was literally falling apart and the pulled pork was super moist. Baked beans are really good too. Love it!!! Parking: It's a small town and there are about 12 spots. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
