Tanner's Grill - Shawnee

The second meal was the Tan Fins, and the lettuce was definitely rotten—slimy and brown. When I called to speak with the manager, he insisted it was made fresh that morning, which was clearly not true given the condition of the lettuce. Furthermore, the fish had scales still on it! The appetizer was slider burgers, and they were completely dry and hard to swallow. I called to express my complaints, but the manager was unprofessional, basically said that we could never be satisfied, and told me not to come back to that location before hanging up on me. In short, AVOID THE FOOD AT ALL COSTS! We tried three different types of food, and all of it was terrible. I’ve included pictures for reference.

This restaurant is starting to show its age and could really use an update. The meals are overpriced and the service is quite slow. I ordered wings that looked like they came straight from the frozen food aisle. It used to be a fun place, but it seems like management hasn't kept up with the better options available nearby. The only reason we chose this place was because of a coupon we bought for De Soto baseball. However, when we received our bill, they informed us that they wouldn’t honor it, saying the coupon was only valid for Tanners on 87th Street. Seriously? That's disappointing. There’s likely a reason there’s a 45-minute wait across the street while this place has several open tables. They really need to step it up.

This was our fourth visit, and the first three experiences were excellent—the female bartender was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our fourth visit fell flat because we had a different bartender. It felt like non-regulars didn't matter at all. We ended up going across the street for dinner instead.

Excellent food and outstanding service. There was no long wait. It's a friendly atmosphere.

Nicole was exceptionally helpful to me today. I really appreciate her kindness and generosity. She's definitely a gem! Oh, and the tacos were fantastic!
