After looking over the menu, we ordered at the counter and waited for our salads to come to the table. The wait for the pizza was longer than used to but I'm sure it takes longer to cook a deep dish than a thin crust. We ordered a 10 pepperoni and black olive and it exceeded expectations. I'm not sure how they manage to keep the crust crispy on the bottom and nicely doughy on the interior. Our only complaint, if you can call it that, is that they have bottled drinks. So because of the longer wait for the pizza, we were rationing our soda and bottled tea. Will definitely be back!
You will get greeted at the door by nice people, the price will be the same as any generic fast food place, but the food will be so much better, and hot! The fries are incredible! Try the Detroit coney! Love this place!
Had an original pepperoni. Standard pizza but everything was as fresh as it gets which made for one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Reminds me a bit of pizza shoppe but with a more substantial crust. Buffalo wings were also really good. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area.
So delicious! If you are looking for a true Chicago style deep dish pizza this is the place to get it. I had visited Pequod?s in Chicago and have wanted something similar since and KC was drawing blanks. Glad to finally find it! The 10 inch pizza will feed 2-3 people easily. The crust is perfect and the layered pie is hearty and filling. The individuals I interacted with there are super friendly and helpful and they have plenty of seating in their dining area.
First time trying this place. Did not disappoint! Was wanting Chicago food fix, ordered the Italian Beef. Fresh baked bread, the beef was thickly thin sliced and delicious. The au jus had a slight kick to it, the giardiniera was authentic and good. Great sandwich and fries. I can't wait to go back and get a deep dish pie. Support local!
