Race Brook Lodge - Sheffield

Beautiful property with grounds to walk around. Outdoor pool and restaurant. The rooms are cottage style. I was there as part of a group team building event. The staff are great to work with. I especially want to single out the cooks and kitchen staff- fantastic job. I could see it being a great place for a wedding.Food drinks: Fantastic food and kitchen staff!

First discovered Race Brook in 2013, and love the whole environment. Just visited again this week and brought a friend who had never been to RBL. She loved it. If you love nature and a laid back ambience, RBL is the place!Nearby activities: Many wonderful places to visit in this area.

Race Brook is a rustic, home style lodge, very down to earth, like staying with your great aunt on her farm. Our weekend was super peaceful, off the beaten path. The fellow lodgers mirrored the peaceful friendly vibe of the place. The service was very personable and exceptional, they made a bonfire for us Friday night. The rooms were super clean. The food was outstanding. I felt like we were at a big family gathering all weekend! Great place to unwind, hike, meditate, listen to the babbling brook, I loved it!Safety: I felt very safe there, we actually left our room unlocked when going to breakfast, the place was so friendly and peaceful,, and thats something we never do when going away.Walkability: We hiked to the waterfall, great morning activityFood drinks: Best burger, and home made yogurt was superb!

Wow! We decided to take a last minute motorcycle trip to Great Barrington with no agenda and booked a room here. This place is absolutely beautiful with such hospitable hosts. We did a late check in and while Rosa was working on our room she encouraged us to go to the tavern for a drink. Cocktails were delicious and the bartender was very warm and charming. The place had such a unique and rustic feel. Our room is spacious and cozy. No TV which is perfect. Outdoor amenities are wonderful. My hubby and I spent time relaxing in the outdoor lounge. I love it here and will come back!!

First time visiting RBL and it was all things magical. Historic, charming, beautiful natural setting with a fire pit, several seating areas, pool, sauna. The staff is friendly, the vibe is very cool. Highly recommend.
