Feedback gevenI ordered the Cajun pork dish at this restaurant, but it was too salty to eat. The shoe string onion rings were also overly salty. The Fajitas were served with a sweet and sour sauce, which didn't seem very Mexican. The sauce wasn't very good either. To top it off, there were flies buzzing around us while we were trying to eat. The only positive aspect of Damon’s was the table staff, who were helpful in discounting the food we couldn't finish. Overall, the food was overpriced for the quality. The service was excellent, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Damons in Sheffield is the perfect spot to celebrate your birthday. With a valid birth certificate, you can enjoy a free meal, birthday cake, and a serenade. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as it's a popular choice for locals. While the atmosphere may be lively with others celebrating their birthdays as well, the American-style cuisine is top-notch with impressive presentation. I personally prefer it over TGI Fridays, as the quality is superior. Don't forget to book ahead and designate a driver, as their cocktail selection is not to be missed.
American style bar and grill places have been popping up in the UK for years now Frankie And Bennies, TGIs and so on can be found in many locations up and down the country. Damons, however, in my opinion, is streets ahead of all these. Its been around for years now my first visit was back in and I try to visit every once in a while. Its a great place to take friends to. The food is always exemplary like you'd expect you have your burgers and so forth, but they also do a particularly nice line in chicken cajun, BBQ etc. The ribs too are particularly nice. A special mention has to go to the desserts, which are reasonably priced and plentiful, and every visit should include one of their cocktails particularly recommended is the one which tastes like strawberry opal fruits )The decor is appealing old movie posters and photographs and the like, and its always kept clean. Even if you visit at a weekend evening when its at its busiest, you wont have too long to wait for your food and service is always very good.Highly recommended.
This restaurant is a typical American grill, serving a variety of dishes from steaks to fajitas. The restaurant has a unique circular layout, with a bar offering a great selection of cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Before being seated at your table, you will be directed to the bar area. The walls are adorned with old movie posters and classic decor for your entertainment. Once seated, be sure to try the coleslaw and the onion loaf, as they are both fantastic.
Food ordered Cajun pork, too salty to eat, the shoe string onion rings too salty, the Fajitas were offered with sweet sour sauce....or sweet tea sauce....? Nothing Mexican about them and the sweet sour sauce wasn’t nice, they were hoovering up around us while we were still eating, the only good thing about Damon’s were the table staff who were very obliging in discounting the food we couldn’t eat, overpriced for the quality but the service excellent which is a shame, wouldn’t recommend
