Not spotless to say the least, but step back in time before the days of reviews when pubs were pubs, none of them would be. Will definitely take Dad back for another of their lovely hot pots. Please keep it on the menu :
We enjoyed a delightful meal at The Bridge Inn. The home-cooked food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and it was great value for money. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area and highly recommend it.
The restaurant is decent. Although a bit dirty and dimly lit, the locals are friendly. It hasn't changed much since our last visit before Covid, but it's a good local spot.
This traditional pub has a cozy atmosphere and serves delicious home cooked food. I have been here twice for Sunday dinner in the past few months and can say that the food is tasty, reminiscent of a home cooked meal. The mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, vegetables, and beef were all excellent. The apple crumble had a nice tart taste with plenty of apples, and the cheesecake tasted homemade. This place is a hidden gem.
Visited for a family meal for my 84 year old mum’s birthday. She’s a very fussy eater who loves scampi. They’d no scampi available. The kitchen went out of their way to cook her some battered prawns which looked great they must have been as she didn’t share. Tonight was pie night and they looked really good as they came past us from the kitchen. We had fish and chips, hunters chicken, and a Cajun chicken burger. All were really well cooked and full of flavour. Proper chips, hand cut, and brown coloured instead of the anaemic fare you find at most pubs. We really enjoyed the food and will be back. Next time will be a Wednesday as that’s burger night.
