The Grind Cafe - Sheffield

Review of Broomhill branch: Positives include friendly staff, efficient service, a nice atmosphere, and great coffee. I tried the all day breakfast and a Turkish scrambled egg dish. The breakfast featured homemade baked beans and quality bacon, though the sausages looked unappetizing, they were actually cooked. The mushrooms were dry, the tomatoes tasted odd, and the black pudding was flavorless. The sourdough toast was enjoyable, but the scrambled eggs were greasy and overcooked. Overall, the experience was okay, but for the price point of £12.95 and £9.95, I expected better quality and wouldn't rush back for the food.

I would have liked to have lunch at this restaurant, but the waiter gave away the table for two that I had inquired about clearing to a group of three. He then suggested I sit in the uncomfortable chairs by the window. Despite dining alone, there was no space to sit facing my plate, so I had to sit sideways. It seemed like the staff had no respect for solo customers and preferred to seat larger parties instead of accommodating my request for the open table.

The matcha latte and coffee were both delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

Fresh wholesome food salads, breakfasts, quiches etc all freshly prepared. Visit for breakfast or lunch. Great coffee too. Would recommend. Nice laid back vibe in Kelham Island.
