One of a few places you can sit outside and enjoy a beer in Sheffield, but its noisy with all the traffic. Not much choice on the menu mostly burgers. So ideal for students and it has live bands on for the indie lovers.
This is quite a studenty pub, has a good selection of real ales. The food is relatively basic pub food but good as long as your not looking for anything special. They have a regular curry night which is very good value. Ther's often live music nights too. The staff are very nice and theres a great seating area outside overlooking the river.
I haven't tried their food but what better way to enjoy a pint of Staropramen while looking over the canal at the rear of the pub. It's doesn't look much from the outside but it's actually quite nice inside. [hidden link]
This used to be one of my regular Real Ale haunts. Today (25th July 2008) I thought I would revisit the establishment. Alas the Great Flood of July 2007 has taken it's toll on The Riverside. The venue has remained closed ever since. The software insists I give the pub a star rating. When it was open it was deserving of 4 stars. A real gem. Please remember that as of 25th July 2008 the pub is still closed and to be honest looked some way off of re-opening.
