Fred's Pizzeria - Shelby Township

This place is ok. Nothing special in my opinion. It's like any other Jet's or Papa Romano's. I was kinda disappointed with the amount of cheese on their cheese bread.. I was hoping for more. They also seemed under staffed as the wait was almost double what they told me, but their food is decent so it was ok.

My family orders from this pizzeria often and always receives great service and great food. They make a good cheese and pepperoni pizza that is consistently delicious. The owner 'Fred ' is always pleasant to talk to and is a great member of the community. His staff is also friendly and pleasant to interact with.

Pizza? It's good. Deli Turnovers? If I was on death row, this would be my last meal. It's an instant classic, I buy them in pairs so I can enjoy one and give one to the first person I see. Not lying. They are doing something different here; I've tried the Jetzee, the Boat, all the other stuff. Fred's does it the right way. I can see other reviewers are having issues with the place, but try a deli turnover and recognize that all is forgiven. Secret time: Order a French Dip deli turnover, ask for BBQ sauce on it after it gets out of the oven, and get a side of mayo. This is a delicacy, you'll probably develop some heart conditions if you eat this every week. None the less, give it the old college try.

I ordered a small old fashioned pepperoni square and a Italian sub. The sub is huge! The pizza came with 6 slices and seems to be Detroit style. This is definitely enough for 2 people. The delivery boy was very nice and arrived sooner than expected.

Fred's has become our favorite lunch spot at work. Haven't had the regular pizza yet, but the Chicago style pizza and all the subs are delicious. This is easily the best pizza available in the area! Very friendly service too.
