Shelby Coney Island - Shelby Township

Clean friendly neighborhood restaurant, family owned. The owner does the cooking, and man does she take pride in her work. The food is traditional diner but prepared with pride and love. Tuesday is Coney Day, and I would recommend the special. Best dogs in the area ! typical diner layout, tile floors and a lunch counter. Just my kind of place, good food at a fair price, friendly and clean. I will be back as often as I can when I get back into the area

Food is outstanding and prices are good. Clean and friendly place with generous portions. It's not a very big place so don't blink or you'll miss it. Service was fast

Stopped by to check it out. Will I go back? Nope!! Waited for the lady to take our order, did she? Nope!! A gentleman came in sat down behind us, she brought his coffee and water then proceeded to take his order. That's when we got up and left. That's all I need to not go back.

This is not a Coney Island! I am not sure what I would call this other than a family style restaurant. Stopped by here for a meet up before going golfing. I had the french toast and bacon. French toast, not bad. Bacon, cooked earlier in the morning, cold, thick, cooked well. The bacon was a good well done crispy, it was just kind of too cold and stale. Coffee, not bad. I have eaten at many family restaurants but this one is on the bottom of my list. ::::CASH ONLY:::::: They do have an ATM for restaurant patrons only though.

This is my favorite place to eat. Great waitresses, great cooks. They truly care for their customers. The cooks take pride in their work. Not to mention the food is very cheap and tastes amazing. I highly recommend anybody to eat here!! I know I will be back soon.
