Market Place Kitchen - Shelton

Market Place Kitchen and Bar is a lovely restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. As of August 2022, they offer four vegan options, all of which I enjoyed trying. Three of the options contain impossible meat products, but there is also a tasty and nutritious harvest bowl available for those who prefer to avoid impossible meat. Most dishes cost $19 and come in generous portions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday and was impressed by the beautiful aesthetics of the place. The open layout and central fireplace added to the atmosphere. Although they were out of blue moon and bud light, the beer selection was still good with plenty of local options available. The service was quick and attentive, and the food tasted delicious. I appreciated the complimentary bread. However, I have to give this restaurant a 3/5 rating due to the high prices. Despite ordering basic items like the market place burger and a salad substitution, along with a few beers and a nacho plate, the bill came to over $90 with tax and tip. While the nachos had impressive toppings, there was a lack of chips in comparison. Ultimately, I felt that the high prices did not match the overall value of the experience, and I believe the restaurant may struggle to maintain consistent business as a result.

We are so fortunate to have a restaurant of this quality in our area! Thank you for providing an alternative to the typical choices like Chili's or Ruby Tuesday in Shelton. The prices are reasonable for the amazing experience they provide. The food, drinks, and staff were all excellent, especially considering they had only been open for a week. We particularly enjoyed chatting with bartender Nick. We will definitely be returning again and again!

Wow, these nachos were really fantastic. They were made with some unique ingredients, but it surprisingly worked well together. I believe they used beyond beef or a similar meat alternative, which came in large chunks. There were also big slices of peppers and a tasty vegan truffle aioli. I enjoyed this dish so much that I ended up eating it two days in a row.

I'm happy to see that Shelton is offering more vegan choices. The Market Place has 4 options available, including the delicious vegan nachos.
