The Poke Haus - Sherman Oaks

The customer service was outstanding and the food was fantastic. I will definitely return.

I wish they had been more honest instead of staying silent about their concerns. This is the main reason I hesitated to leave a review. I woke up feeling unwell hours after dining here. I should have sensed something was off when the server hesitated and asked if I was sure I wanted the item I had added to my order. The menu is quite standard, and I ended up with a half rice, half salad meal. Since we were the only patrons there, I thought they might be extra attentive, but we needed a few minutes to look over the menu before deciding what we wanted. The house sauce wasn’t great, but it was tolerable; I just felt like it didn't suit my taste.

My first time eating poke was at this spot and I?m hooked. The food is super good. Staff are kind of.. awkward? Also took off a star because they use a ton of plastic, with their bowls, cutlery, and water cups. For a place that serves fish, I would expect them to be more ocean conscious and plastic aware. I bring my own bowl to avoid using the plastic.

I really enjoy this restaurant and visit almost every week. They use fresh ingredients, offer generous portion sizes, and have fantastic staff. I was in Los Angeles recently and had a great experience!
