I would highly recommend the weekend...brunch for adults, children and families.
We visited the New Year's Brunch this afternoon. was terribly disappointed. our session was at 1 o'clock. eating was at best mediocre. looks like it was sitting there all day. tasteless and choices were minimal for what we paid 50 per person) service. was terrible. had to remove our own dishes and had problems finding someone to fill our coffee sauces. sitting area had minimal decorations and was comfortless and ran down looking. certainly not what we expected for a new year brunch. was our first time at this brunch and will certainly be our last.
We chose this restaurant because they had white tablecloths in the picture, and my mother-in-law likes white tablecloths. It was a bit disappointing that they didn't use tablecloths for lunch, but we still enjoyed our meal. We tried a few dishes: the tomato vegetable soup was tasty but could have been a bit sweeter; the steak and mushroom pie had a nice crust but too much steak with a tough texture; the fish and chips were delicious; the burger came with a dark bun, which was surprising at first but tasted fine; and the grilled trout was the highlight of the meal. The service was friendly and welcoming.
We dined at Johnson's Cafe for both dinner and breakfast. The ambiance was lovely, the menu featured unique dishes, and the food was delicious. Our server provided exceptional service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day by dining at a restaurant in Fort Edmonton Park, which we hadn't visited in about 10 years. We were pleased to find that the restaurant was packed for Sunday brunch, but we were able to make a reservation online and simply showed our tickets to the hostess upon arrival. The buffet had a great selection, with the omelette and prime rib stations being particularly delicious. Other items like salmon, sausages, and salad were also good. We especially enjoyed the white and milk chocolate fountain with fruits for dessert. The service was excellent, but the price was a bit high at $35 per person. We took some photos outside of the antique buildings, but it was too cold to fully explore the park. We plan to return in the summer to explore the entire park.
