We've been to all the New Asian Village restaurants. This one is similar to the one on Sask Drive. Very cozy and clean. Recommend asking for a booth. We will definitely be going back.

We were there in the late afternoon during non-peak hours and found the buffet dishes to be excellent. Nice and spicy just the way we like it.Service was excellent. We will be back.
I went here because of a Groupon. Sad that New Asian Village needs to resort to Groupons these days... I guess there are too many competitors out in the open. Almost every Indian restaurant good or bad now has a Groupon : I hope they are still making some money because as much as it is hard on the stomach, I think everyone has a secret weakness for Indian Buffets. It is greasier and fattier than authentic Indian food which I haven't really tried but it is still comfort food to me.<br <br I wasn't exactly hungry this time around but I had to use that Groupon. I keep thinking that I know my Indian Buffets after visiting so many places but really I just seem to like them each and every time. Even when a place sucks I go back and try another time it becomes good again. Either I am inconsistent or the restaurant is inconsistent. Anyway, now that this is out of the way...<br <br I enjoyed my buffet here! This is with my bang for your buck hat off with the Groupon even sweeter with the Groupon . I'd pay normal price to come here. I loved my Fish Pakora. This one is light brown and almost yellowish but let me tell ya, the basa fillet I assume was nice and soft and tender. The batter is almost non existent but it gives the fish just enough flavouring without diminishing the fish taste. I grabbed at least a plate worth of that. The Tandoori chicken was overcooked as always because it sits in the buffet line in intense heat but I can still taste the smokey ness of it. The flavour was intense and the charred bits were yummy in moderation . The paneer and mushrooms were good. Another thing that shocked me was the potatoes it was greasy but soaked with spices. I loved every bite of that. The naan bread, because it is not delivered fresh to your table, can be soggy at times when it's sitting at the buffet line for too long. There is garlic naan at least. The beef curry was pretty tough and therefore disgusting at best. Not edible. I wish they used goat instead with bones tendons attached to soften the blow on the toughness. It felt as though they used very lean beef or the fat just completely melted off with the intense buffet heat. Last but not least, the sugary dough balls gulab jamun. Can't say they are healthy but you gotta at least have one before you leave! Oh and there are some minty spice candy things on the way out. Take the spoon and put some in your hand and then into your mouth. It's a refreshing and lasting way to end your buffet night. The bad part about all this is that your stomach might react strongly to all the dairy grease spice if you've eaten too much or if you cannot handle it afterwards. Be warned. :
